THE BEACH HOUSE
The Beach House is situated within the Nhoxani Private Estate on the banks of Maputo Bay. This complex project involved constructing a luxury lodge at the base of a coastal dune, constrained by an existing erosion-control dry stack retaining system and a defined high-water mark, which left only a narrow strip of developable land. The developer requested a level deck at a predetermined height, which we achieved by splitting the structures and manipulating the rooflines to create architectural interest.

Offers bay views and a private balcony designed to limit visibility into the room from the beach below

Includes built-in bunk beds and can be repurposed as a children’s room when multiple families are vacationing together
